In our latest interior design project in Carlsbad, California, we had the opportunity to transform a primary bathroom from outdated to elegant, leaving behind the era of carpeted bathrooms and embracing a modern, sophisticated design.

Out with the Old, In with the New: Tile Wood Floors

The first major change in this remodel was bidding farewell to the carpeted flooring and introducing tile wood floors in a white oak finish. This not only added a touch of warmth and natural beauty but also improved the functionality and cleanliness of the space, making it more suitable for a bathroom environment.

Ready-Made Sophistication: Pottery Barn Vanity with Marble Top
For the vanity area, we opted for a ready-made Pottery Barn vanity with a luxurious marble top. This choice strikes a balance between functionality and style, providing ample storage while exuding a timeless elegance that complements the overall design scheme.

Marble Elegance: Wainscoting and Subway Tile Accents
To enhance the walls, we incorporated marble tiles in two distinct ways. First, we installed wainscoting marble tile around the entire room, adding a classic and refined touch. Above the wainscoting, we adorned the walls with taupe subway tiles that extend elegantly to the slanted ceilings, creating a cohesive and visually appealing backdrop.

Accenting with Brass and Polished Nickel
To add a touch of luxury and sophistication, we chose brass and polished nickel plumbing and light fixtures throughout the bathroom. These metallic accents not only complement the marble and wood elements but also contribute to the overall ambiance of timeless elegance and modern luxury.

Floral Flourish: Wallpaper Statement
A standout feature of this remodel is the beautiful floral wallpaper behind the vanity wall. This statement wall adds a pop of color, texture, and personality to the space, creating a focal point that draws the eye and adds a touch of whimsy to the otherwise sophisticated design.

This primary bathroom remodel in Carlsbad showcases the transformative power of thoughtful design choices and attention to detail. By replacing carpet with tile wood floors, incorporating elegant marble elements, accenting with brass and polished nickel, and adding a statement wallpaper, we were able to create a space that seamlessly blends functionality, luxury, and timeless style.
